The Chocolate 5K Returns to the Twin Cities

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - March 15, 2016 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing will hold The Chocolate 5K in Minneapolis / St. Paul on June 11 at 9:00 AM to help support the Twin Cities Kids In Need Resource Center. The event will be held at Como Park East Picnic Hill (1360 Lexington Parkway N, St Paul, MN 55103). Race registration is $30 for individuals. Prices will increase $5 on May 11. There will be a $40 walk up registration fee. Children 11 and under are free with a PAID adult. If you are not interested in running, we strongly encourage you to volunteer! NR Road Racing presents a chocolatey good time. We are offering you sweet treats to keep you going throughout the 5K. Yes there will still be water stations, but for those of you with a sweet tooth, you can also have a little piece of joy. Enjoy a family-friendly three mile course with your friends, family, and other chocoholic strangers. It doesn't matter how fast or how old you are; everyone is welcome to participate and join in the fun! After the race, we'll be still partying and filling up with chocolate. You are invited to hang out and party to the music and have some more chocolate on us! Family and friends are always encouraged to join in the party at the end!

The Twin Cities Kids In Need Resource Center (TCKINRC) provides students most in need with free school supplies that make it possible for them to fully participate in classroom learning. Operating as a free store for teachers serving eligible area schools, the TCKINRC provides much needed supplies to their students for learning and excelling in the classroom. TCKINRC works with schools facing high poverty rates in St. Paul and Minneapolis by providing eligible teachers a shopping visit at our free store. Through our Caring Tree program, they award grants to social services and other community-based agencies across the state to distribute backpacks and supplies to students in need. TCKINRC could not operate without your generous donations of product and financial contributions.
