YMCA of Orange County Kicks Off Its Annual Campaign

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Jan. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- On February,1st , 2016, the YMCA of Orange County and its association of YMCAs, including the YMCA of Riverside County and the San Gabriel Valley YMCA, are kicking off its Annual Campaign to ensure that everyone in the communities we serve has access to local programs and resources supporting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, regardless of ability to pay.

The YMCA of Orange County gives our community the support it needs to learn, grow, and thrive. From afterschool childcare to parent/child programs, to disease prevention to athletics, camp to special needs assistance, everything the Y does helps strengthen our neighborhood and the people who live here. Last year, charitable gifts from donors made it possible for the YMCA of Orange County to serve over 76,000 people with over 1 million dollars in contributions.

When community members support the YMCA Annual Campaign, they support mothers like Aimee, an Orange County Afterschool program parent.

“As a full-time worker, part-time student, part time volunteer teacher, and a single mother of two small children, I cannot express my sincere gratitude to you for making this possible. The financial assistance and support you provided has helped my family and I tremendously in this time of need,” says Aimee.

This year, the YMCA of Orange County hopes to raise $810,750. 100% of donations received will help young people achieve their potential, empower people of all ages to lead healthier lives, and strengthen the bonds of community in Orange County, Riverside County, and the San Gabriel Valley. The YMCA’s goal is to turn no one away due to their inability to pay for their life-changing programs.
