Jan. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- The Yaroslavl Data Center has a TIER III reliability level by Uptime Institute classification. There are currently no more than ten such data centers in Russia.
The active construction phase began in December 2012 and the full start took place in the first days of December 2015, upon completion of all the activities and approval from the state authorities.

The facility appears like a complex of buildings covering a total floor space of 30.000 sqm floor space over a total area of 7 hectares.
The main building works thanks to a special free-cooling system. Wind blows onto the facades of the data center and then into the mixing chambers. Cold air reaches the main air duct, cools the internal circuits, flows on through the data center and is then released outside, keeping the server room cold with high efficiency.

Thanks to the relatively mild summers of Yaroslav, the free-cooling system is able to keep the server rooms at the right temperature for 8 months a year. For the rest of the year, they have designed a secondary cooling system working one month a year whenever the external air is only 3 to 4 degrees higher than the 24 degrees maximum. The secondary cooling system is based on 3 Climaveneta FOCS-ME 9604 condenserless chillers and automatically starts working when the free-cooling system requires more to keep the DCP modules at the set temperature, so always keeping the data center at an optimal energy efficiency level.
