I Am Your Protector Commemorates International Holocaust Remembrance Day

NEW YORK - Jan. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, I AM YOUR PROTECTOR will honor those that risked their lives protecting Holocaust victims through an interactive event at Washington Square Park on Wednesday, January 27^th from 5-6pm.

The event will feature a public theater performance directed and performed by The Living Theater. The performing arts company will share a reenactment of testimonials of unknown protectors during the Holocaust from various religious backgrounds, with a spotlight on Muslim Protectors.

An interfaith prayer will be led by leaders of varying religious backgrounds to honor those that protected in the past and those that deal with discrimination today. Guest speakers include Rabbi Yehuda Sarna and Imam Khalid Latif. The event will end with a unifying candle lighting.
