AUSTIN, Texas - Jan. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Roomie Service is aiming to change the way many roommates live and banking on young people seeing the value. The concept is simple: roommates are typically pretty terrible at splitting household chores and some things (like toilet paper, paper towels, and more) tend to run out far too often. After all, whose turn is it this time to buy?

Started by an Austin, Texas team who spent over 8 years living with roommates, Roomie Service is turning the Monthly Box model slightly on its head. Instead of "cacoa nibs", premium coffee, dog treats, or other exciting (albeit usually pretty random) things each month, this subscription box simply provides the right amount of toilet paper, paper towels, and air fresheners to get the house easily through the month on a recurring basis.

"The idea really just kind of happened while watching TV one night. We were friendly-arguing over whose fault it was that the bathroom was, again, shameful to show our girlfriends and the idea struck" says Jason, one of the founders of Roomie Service, "why in 2015 are we worrying about this?"

The service was officially launched this month for Spring 2016 and the Roomie Service team is hoping to see traction with college students, young adults living with roommates, and parents of students as well.
