South County Democratic Club Meeting February 2016

CLINTON, Md. - Feb. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The upcoming South County Democratic Club meeting is a “A Must Attend" event. The meeting will be held Monday, February 1, 2016. Colonel South Hotel, 7401 Surratts Road, Clinton, MD, 20735 from 7pm to 9pm. This event is open to ALL Democrats, businesses, and organizations.

Join SCDC so we may ban together to show our support for healthcare, youth-care, senior-care, people-care and democracy-for-all-care. SCDC leadership has joined others in opposing SB-268. Republican Senators in Maryland have adopted the GOP practice of submitting Legislation requiring voters to display a government issued ID prior to voting on Election Day. In GOP controlled states like North Carolina, Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, republicans have been accused of suppressing democratic votes through legislation in this way since the 2010 elections; primarily affecting African American and Latino voting power. At SCDC we offer you a great opportunity to meet and know your elected representatives.With Congressman Van Hollen in attendance it will allow South County to show its strength. (Which is People Power and development progress). Congresswoman Donna Edwards has been invited to attend in March.
