Fox River Fiber Donation Helps Fund De Pere Community Project

DE PERE, Wis. - Feb. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Fox River Fiber, a De Pere-based manufacturer of 100 percent recycled pulp, was instrumental in providing funds for the recently completed De Pere Riverwalk and Wildlife Viewing Pier with a $175,000 donation.

“We take our role as stewards of the environment very seriously,” said Greg Archambault, president and chief executive officer of Fox River Fiber. “The Riverwalk is a fantastic community asset that we are proud to support.”

The De Pere Riverwalk and Wildlife Viewing Pier links Voyageur Park to the city’s east-side downtown district. It begins with a bridge at the De Pere locks on the Fox River, crosses the lock tender’s island, and connects to a viewing pier on the foundation of the old Claude Allouez Bridge.

“On behalf of the citizens of De Pere, I would like to thank Fox River Fiber for its generous contribution toward improving the quality of life in our community,” said De Pere Mayor Mike Walsh.
