CCW Forged Performance Introduces New Lightweight TS12 Corsair R-Spec Road Race Wheel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Feb. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- CCW Forged Performance, a divison of WELD, has introduced its new TS12 Corsair R-Spec wheel engineered for track performance. The ultralight-weight wheel comes in weights as low as 18.6 pounds and has passed a punishing 3,000 pound (per wheel) cornering fatigue test load at 300,000 cycles.

The TS12 features monoblock construction forged from aircraft quality aluminum alloy and is available in 18” and 19” diameters. An optional shot peen finish provides a 25 percent surface strength boost. Wheel and tire packages are also available.

“The entire CCW team helped immensely in meeting our needs to accommodate the StopTech braking system we’re using as well as the lug nuts we use to deliver a custom fit,” explained Holbrook.

“The Honda Accord is one of the heaviest touring cars in the field. Therefore, we took all necessary measures for weight reduction and CCW was able to help us with that,” said Holbrook. “I’m in awe over the entire CCW process but I was most surprised by how ultra-lightweight the wheels are at only 18.6 pounds.”
