Follow on Google News | Leach Named Of Counsel at Sacks Weston DiamondPennsylvania Senator Daylin Leach has announced that he will be joining the accomplished legal team at Sacks Weston Diamond, LLC. On May 1st, 2016, he will join the firm as an of-counsel attorney.
Senator Leach was first elected to the state house in 2002 and served three terms there. In 2008 Daylin was elected to the state senate, representing the 17th Senatorial District which includes portions of Montgomery and Delaware Counties. Currently, Senator Leach is Democratic Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and also serves on the Appropriations, Education and Environmental Resources Committees. Daylin graduated from Temple University and the University of Houston Law Center, as well as Harvard's Kennedy School of Government Legislative Training Program. He is also a Flemming Fellow of the Arthur S. Flemming Fellows Association. This is the first law firm affiliation Senator Leach has entered into since being elected. Prior to entering the legislature he practiced law from 1986-2002 focusing on general litigation matters, including corporate litigation, education law, personal injury, criminal defense and civil rights. Senator Leach had resisted joining a firm since his election because he had young children and wanted to devote whatever spare time he had to them. However, now that they are older, Daylin is anxious to return to his chosen profession in a part-time capacity. To that end, Daylin searched for the law firm that best reflected his values and which had a stellar reputation representing victims of corporate misconduct. Recognizing Sacks Weston Diamond’s history of successfully litigating against the oil and tobacco industry, chemical companies, pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies, Daylin saw a natural fit. Sacks Weston Diamond is a law firm which concentrates on handling class actions and qui tam cases, complex litigation, election law, medical marijuana and hemp law, personal injury and insurance subrogation law. With over $4 billion in client recoveries and 100 years of partner legal experience, Sacks Weston Diamond is confident that the addition of Senator Leach will be a perfect match.
