This Black History lecture allows community members to come to a common understanding of why it’s important to study our history and understand how our contributions to the world before and after enslavement. “The Importance of Knowing YOUR Black History” lecture will be followed by a panel discussion led by Sam P.K. Collins, Founder and Host, AllEyesOnDC/ Center President Thomasina Yearwood said she’s excited about the lecture series and it's ability to add to the national conversation of political and social discourse.
