Business Analytics Meet 2016 - UPES

DEHRADUN, India - March 3, 2016 - PRLog -- New Delhi –Second Business Analytics Meet was organized by the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies on February 27, 2016 at the prestigious India Habitat Centre, New Delhi with an aim to provide senior professionals an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, get an industry perspective from leading experts and network with fellow colleagues from the analytics domain.

Some of the areas of discussed during the meet were, “prospects & challenges in data management”, “translating insights to actions: a journey from predictive to prescriptive”, “crossing analytical boundaries: integrating technologies and skills”, along with a special session on “sector specific case studies”.

The meet was attended by more than 70 senior HR and Business representatives from leading Technology, Finance and ecommerce and Boutique Analytics firms, along with students from the university.

Utpal Ghosh, CEO & President, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies during his opening address spoke about the current trends in the business analytics domain, along with the emergent applications of big data analytics. Mr. Ghosh also shared the global outlook in big data, and the opportunities for the Indian IT industry.

Keynote speaker Loveen Vuppala, Head of the Supply Chain Analytics team at Flipkart described the new age of Business Analytics and its powerful impact on current business scenario.

The Meet was attended by some big names in the industry, including speakers from TCS, IBM, Xebia, Zensar, Jawahar Lal Nehru University to name a few.
