NEW YORK - March 8, 2016 - PRLog -- The creative genious of Joan Surace is astonishing. Joan grew up in an Italian convent, where she did well scholastically. Her teachers would always ask her to help and guide older students in higher grades. One of the nuns noticed how gifted Joan was and advised her parents to send her to another school located in an area of Italy hundreds of miles from her family. Her parents who were extremely proud of her were ready to sell everything and relocate the family. Joan would not allow them do such a thing, so she decided to stay close to home.

Time passed and Joan eventually got married and moved to America, where she gave birth to four children. Early on her husband became ill. Her family was top priority, and again she put her dream of writing stories and music on the back burner.

Throughout the years she would jot down notes but could not go "full force" because she had a sick husband and a family that took up her time. She put her writing aside year after year.

Joan's husband passed last year and her four children are now grown. Joan feels it is now her time to live her dreams and truly enjoy her writing.

As a young girl she always wrote poems, short stories and music. Her grandfather was a great inspiration. He was a poet. He would always take her for walks to talk. Sometimes they just sat by the fireplace and he would tell her stories about his experiences or they would simply enjoy a conversation about life. Her grandfather always knew that Joan wanted to share her own stories and music. She wanted to put smiles on faces of children, the elderly and the sick around the world as her grandfather did for her.

Andrea Bocelli is now reviewing her music and several TV stars are singing her songs in shows. Joan has always considered her vision to be different from most. She sees beyond the material world and inspires so many with her love. One of her favorite movies is Awakened starring Julianne Michelle, Steven Bauer, Edward Furlong and Sally Kirkland. In her words, "This is a movie of hope. I believe that life continues after death." Joan deotes her life to sharing love, hope and joy. Joan lives the American Dream.
