Follow on Google News | ![]() Local Business Brings Classic Films to Downtown TucsonVaudeville Entertainment Productions presents Downtown Noir, a monthly film series featuring classic film noir on the big screen in the heart of downtown Tucson at The Screening Room on Congress St. Sponsored by The Hub Restaurant and Creamery.
The film series offers several classic films starring such actors as Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart, Kirk Douglas, Gloria Grahame, Robert Mitchum, Edward G. Robinson, Barbara Stanwyck, and Orson Welles. These are the classics that paved the way for modern day filmmakers. The Screening Room offers beer and wine as well as the usual movie theater snack bar items such as popcorn and soft drinks. They also serve the entire menu from Empire Pizza and Pub which will be delivered directly to the person while they watch the film. Upcoming film dates are Thursday, March 31, 2016, Wednesday, May 4, 2016, and Thursday May 26, 2016. The program each showing will offer interesting facts and details about the film and the many people who worked on the film. There is an option for individuals to help sponsor films.
