Follow on Google News | ![]() Significance of Ayurveda Technology in the present scenarioBy: Biotechayur Pvt Ltd Dr.Abhay Kumar Pati, CEO Biotechayur, Odisha, India Thank you for your invitation. I wanted to join you on that occasion and to encourage you. Unfortunately, the seminar started two and half hours late. I was not made aware of the time change. I have been living in the United States for the past 37 years and I have traveled the globe. Unfortunately, people India do not have the same sense of time. Due to my other scheduled meetings, I had to rush to Bhubaneswar. I wanted to complete and conclude my presentation on power point. I am sad that convener did not allow me an additional 5 mins or so. We were almost done, but had to discontinue. I have no doubt that all of you are good, honest well qualified Ayurvedic physicians, researchers, including Dr. Jayasingh and Dr. Nrusingha Sahoo. I have known all of you for a long time and you are the pioneers in Ayurvedic medicine in my Odisha. I expected to hear speeches on the scientific aspect of Ayurvedic medicine, Ayurvedic medical science and significance of Ayurveda technology in comparing with modern bio pharma industry. Why were the speakers talking about Sanskrit literature and language? My focus was on the analytical and validation of phytochemical, pharmacognosy as well as heavy metal (like mercury, lead, arsenic) validation of minerals and metals in Ayurvedic medicine using modern State of the Art Chromatographic Photo Spectrometer. No doubt our Ayurvedic herbal products and bhasmas are good, but most of the ayurvedic products are not validated using modern, sophisticated analytical instruments. This is the primary reason Ayurvedic medicine is being banned in USA and Europe. I am an advocate on modern Ayurvedic medicine and I am arguing with many government agencies about the efficacy of our Ayurvedic products, particularly which contain bhasmas. I can guarantee that many Ayurvedic products contain heavy metals and those are not analytically validated at all. Western countries ban Ayurvedic products because of no established analytical data are available at all. A few organizations, like my Biotechayur Pvt Ltd has installed a large number of Analytical and chromatographic instruments and the lab has been certified by many agencies of local and central government. A few months ago, I met the Director of General Information Technology of India, when he was in California. He talked about informatics on Ayurvedic medicine which Ayurvedic medicine is lacking. Lot of things I would like to do for the advancement of my Ayurvedic medical science as an Ayurvedic physician, researcher, industrialist. My hands are so tied, while others are honored and I am ignored www.biotechayur.com Thank you. Dr.Abhay Kumar Pati, CEO Best Nutrition USA, Biotechayur, India www.biotechaur.com End
