Workplace Bullying: What It Is Really About with expert Guest, ROBYN BARTLETT

ATLANTA - March 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Radio host Bernadette Boas welcomes workplace bullying expert, Robyn Bartlett, to the Shift to RICHes Star Series, for a lively discussion about "What Bullying is Really About, and What It Isn't."

Robyn Bartlett is a native Atlantan and has been a nontraditional college student for over half her life.  She did not begin her college pursuance until her third child started daycare in the 80s and has earned her associates in French Language, her bachelor's in Psychology, her master's in sociology, and now her all but dissertation (ABD) Ph.D. in Industry & Organizational Psychology, which she will complete this fall.

Shortly after Robyn began her Ph.D. studies, she experienced something unusual, or so she thought at the time, in the workplace that resulted in job termination.  Totally baffled by the turn of events, Robyn chanced upon the term workplace bullying and that began her passionate interest in understanding it from all directions.  Her academic journey explored the effects of bullying on the target, bystanders, and the organization.  Then she turned to theoretical perspectives that offered underlying insights such as learning and personality theories, underlying pathology, leadership and management theories, and environmental, parenting and home life linkages.
