Honda Named Best Value Brand for 2016

DETROIT - April 4, 2016 - PRLog -- It gives Detroit Area Honda Dealers great pride to announce that the Honda brand has won the title of "Best Value Brand" in the 2016 Brand Image Awards from Kelley Blue Book. This is the fifth year that Honda has been declared the best brand for value among non-luxury car buyers.

Jack R. Nerad, Kelley Blue Book's executive editorial director and market analyst for KBB.com, explained what has led to Honda's repeated success in the eyes of drivers, saying, "Our Kelley Blue Book expert vehicle reviewers consistently praise Hondas for their overall excellence and strong value story, so it is not surprising that car shoppers feel the same way, naming Honda as Kelley Blue Book's Best Value Brand again this year."

These awards aren't just a popularity contest where Kelley Blue Book asks drivers what brand they like the most; no, the 2016 Brand Image Awards are based on consumer automotive perception data. The Kelley Blue Book Strategic Insights Brand Watch study looks at the more than 12,000 in-market new-vehicle shoppers who browse KBB.com and surveys what they are looking for and how satisfied they have been as car buyers.

By pulling all of that data, they are able to create a very comprehensive study that gives insight into the ways shoppers perceive important qualities in a vehicle or auto brand that influence their purchasing decisions. It also looks to analyze brand and model familiarity and loyalty.

Honda has won this award previously in years 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015.
