BURR RIDGE, Ill. - April 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Pain Specialists of Greater Chicago (http://www.painchicago.com/), a leading interventional pain management practice, announced today that co-founder and President Scott E. Glaser, M.D., DABIPP, will speak at The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP) annual meeting in Dallas, Texas.

The 18th annual meeting takes place April 15 -17 and is focused on innovations in interventional pain management for success.

Glaser will be presenting Paralysis and Epidural Injections. He co-authored one of the first case reports in 2005 discussing the risks of the "Safe Triangle" and proposed an alternative approach to maintain efficacy and eliminate risk. He co-authored a root cause analysis in 2010 and re-iterated the need to abandon the "Safe Triangle." Since that time Glaser has published, lectured, and taught extensively and is highly regarded within the field of interventional pain management.

"This is a personal crusade around improving the safety of epidural injections," stated Glaser. "I'm looking forward to speaking with colleagues at the ASIPP annual meeting. This is a wonderful platform for giving this patient safety issue the level of attention it deserves."

Glaser has twice been elected to the ASIPP national board by his peers and he has held multiple positions in the Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians including president.
