US Marine Corps 0311 Challenge Coin

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - April 14, 2016 - PRLog -- The United States Marine Corps is like a fraternity of brothers.  However, there is a fraternity within the fraternity, and they are known as "Grunts."  In the "Old Corps" many jobs were exclusive to the 03' field.  This included Commandant of the Marine Corps, CWO Gunner, and Recon.  This is because the United States Marine Corps did not want to lose site of the Marine Corps main purpose.

"To locate, close with, and destroy the enemy, by fire and maneuver, or repel the enemy assault by fire and close combat."  This is the mission of the Marine Corps Rifleman.
