PRLog -- Laurene Powell Jobs challenged America to rethink high school and pledged $50 million to create the next American High School- or a "Super School". Cassandra Williams and Dawn Guest-Johnson, both educators, raised their hands to rethink high school in the Los Angeles area. Their school, The California STEAM Academy, made it to the last phase of the XQ Super School Project. They are actively working on the development phase of the competition and currently connecting with industry partners and building their team with passionate members who share the same vision. The California STEAM Academy (CSA) is a community of lifelong learners committed to student's success in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. CSA is dedicated to developing active learners who value knowledge, skills, and understanding through the implementation of the constructivist learning model. CSA believes in empowering students through authentic learning experiences that encourage the development of leadership skills and the social and emotional learning core capacities.
