ProChem, Inc. Water Reuse System Installed in Oregon

ALBANY, Ore. - April 25, 2016 - PRLog -- A leading manufacturer of castings in the aerospace industry just received their ProChem Water Reuse system. This system features the I-PRO™ (membrane filtration for industrial applications- high TDS) and CWP™ (continuous flow wastewater treatment system to prepare the water for the I-PRO™).

The Water Reuse system will achieve a reuse rate between 87% and 90%. The I-PRO utilizes high pressure and reverse osmosis to purify the wastewater. It also includes a clean-in-place process to extend the life of the membranes.

The CWP system utilizes a combination of custom forumulated treament program, developed by ProChem, Inc. for this customer, ion-exchange filtration, and softening. The program removes heavy metals, TDS, TSS, non-emulsified oil, and grease.

The goal of this system is to meet the customer's goals of minimal liquid discharge and to protect their valuable equipment by providing high quality recycled process water for their manufacturing process.

The system is equipped with ProChem's AutoRun™ automation package, which allows the system to run integrated and automatically with very little operator interaction.

The system was shipped to Oregon in 4 different loads that included (but was not limited to) the following components:

- 15 pump skids

- 8 column filtration skids

- 2 RO skids

- 4 electrical panels

Each shipment was complete with its own installation manual. ProChem utilized local, third party mechanical and electrical contractors to install the system prior to the arrival of its start up crew.

The complete system comes with a comprehensive operations and maintenance guide that is available on site and online. The system's operators were also given extensive training form the ProChem Project Manager and Technical Service Manager for this project.

The customer's goal is to reuse as much of their wastewater as possible to elminate their liquid discharge to a public treatment facility. With the ProChem system in place, they are well on their way to zero liquid discharge.
