Rose of Tralee Festival Looking for Participants

April 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Roses have mirrored a changing world and the definition of Irishness that is celebrated by so many different people around the world. They have come to reflect the aspirations of modern young women and embrace our global diaspora in a positive and refreshing way.
A Rose represents the collective aspirations, social responsibilities and ambitions of a variety of communities and backgrounds, united by a desire to celebrate Irish heritage.

The NY,NJ,CT Rose of Tralee is a selection open to young women (ages 18-27, not having reached your 28th birthday prior to 1 September of current year) of Irish heritage.  The Rose of Tralee looks to find an intelligent, independent young woman who serves as an example of a modern Irish American woman in NY,NJ,CT. The winner will represent New York in Ireland at the International Rose of Tralee Festival in Kerry in August.

We are also looking for young ladies and gentlemen ages 13-17 (Juniors) and 5-12 Rosebuds/Buddy's) of Irish heritage that would like to represent the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut Rose of Tralee as a Rosebud/Buddy server as an an honor guard for the Rose candidates.  They lead the candidates on stage for their interviews and make a presentation to the candidates.  They also serve a vital role by enabling the judges to observe how well each candidate relates to young children.

The New York Rose will travel to and enjoy one massive Festival in Tralee, Co. Kerry Ireland in August, representing New York & the USA and will experience much of what Kerry and Ireland has to offer.  For more info. go to www.roseoftralee.ie or send us an e-mail: NYRoseOfTraleeCenter@gmail.com
