COMIX Mohegan Sun Presents Actor and Comedian Greer Barnes for Three Shows June 30-July 2

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - April 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Actor and Comedian Greer Barnes takes the COMIX Mohegan Sun stage for three nights, four shows Thur.-Sat., June 30- July 2 at 8 p.m., with a special "Nasty Show" Sat. at 10:30 p.m.

Greer Barnes has maintained his reputation as one of today's most respected stand-up comedians while simultaneously distinguishing himself as a diverse actor in various television, commercial and film projects. He was selected as one of Louis CK's TOP 7 COMICS TO WATCH and recently appeared on Louis CK's HORACE AND PETE, Colin Quinn's THE COP SHOW and THE JIM GAFFIGAN SHOW.

By combining clever wordplay, witty commentary, energetic physical comedy and his gift to mimic Greer Barnes has created his own inimitable brand of stand-up comedy that has entertained audiences worldwide. His stand-up has also lead to appearances on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY, DEF COMEDY JAM, MTV and BET to name a few. In 2009, Barnes wrote and starred in his first COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS half-hour special in addition to his appearances on COMEDY CENTRAL'S PREMIUM BLEND and SHORTIES WATCHIN' SHORTIES.

Barnes has also been a regular on sketch comedy shows like HBO's HARDCORE TV, IN LIVING COLOR and CHAPPELLE'S SHOW. His appearances on CHAPPELLE'S SHOW allowed him to display his abilities as a comedian, actor and voice-over artist, during each of its three seasons. Friend and fellow comedian, Dave Chappelle also invited Greer to be his host/opener on his international tours.

Raised in the Bronx, NY by his mother and Jewish stepfather, Greer received his Bar Mitzvah at thirteen. He began his career at the age of 18 in some of New York's most historic comedy clubs including CATCH A RISING STAR, THE COMIC STRIP, THE COMEDY CELLAR and CAROLINE'S. His talents immediately gained him national attention and thus began his career headlining at comedy clubs and colleges across the country and then the world. Barnes' has also performed at the MELBOURNE, EDINBURGH, MONTREAL and ASPEN COMEDY FESTIVALS. Greer has also lent his face to commercials for WENDY'S, the NBA and the NFL.

Barnes currently resides in Harlem, where he continues to develop new comedy material and work on various film, television and commercials projects.
