Avista Recognizes TMG Consulting as Partner in Success of Award-Winning CIS Implementation

PHOENIX - April 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Lauded for successfully implementing multiple IT solutions simultaneously, Avista today recognized its project partners with its acceptance of the 'Expanding Excellence Award' for Best CIS Implementation, Level I, at CS Week 2016.

The award-winning project, named Project Compass, included procuring solutions for a Customer Information System (CIS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) simultaneously over a one-year period, which TMG spearheaded.

"It is important to have astute planning and oversight on such large-scale projects, particularly in the case where multiple systems are being implemented at the same time," said Gary Weseloh, TMG's senior vice president, who led the solution procurement process for Avista. "When there are so many moving parts, paying particular attention to the details is critical in avoiding unseen challenges and unnecessary, unplanned expenditures."

The implementation project (completed in 2014-2015), provides the investor-owned utility, long recognized for its commitment to customer service, improved operating efficiencies and opportunities to build on its overall excellent service.
