Mentoring Group Awards 30 Young Men Saturday April 30, 2016

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - April 27, 2016 - PRLog -- The Boys 2 Men Initiative will Award  30 local boys from Lowndes and Butler County to the Movies and Dinner in Greenville, Al. Saturday April 30, 2016 as part of their mentoring series "Reach One, Teach One"  campaign.  Our theme, "Building Blocks of Hope," is the inspiration as we work to instill hope into the young men through traditional means of spending quality time.  As you are well aware, the NEED for strong positive role models vs. the lack thereof has proven catastrophic in the tri county area in recent years.  In its'  second calendar school year in existence, the Boys 2 Men initiative, create by Bishop Kenneth E. Scott of The Temple Gate Church of Fort Deposit, and Lamont C. Bracy  is a direct result of seeing a need and supplying the demand with love, patience, and understanding.  Since, the mentoring group has been picking up momentum and popularity by gaining community support along with an army of volunteer educators from Fort Deposit Elementary School. The Boys 2 Men Mentoring group has far past exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds which has resulted in accelerated academic scores and improvements in behavior.   As to date, the Boys 2 Men Initiative has grown to 33 students along with a steady cry for additional students.  The Students range in age from 7 years old to 13 years of age with plans to expand as resources and volunteers permit.  "It is our very goal to see these young men off and follow there progress to College and ultimately young MEN", states program director and co-founder Lamont Bracy.

Mission Statement
The Boys II Men Initiative is an initiative to inspire young men by engaging them with activities and surrounding them with positive male role models.  The overall objective is to demonstrate values of transitional change from young boys to young men by setting strong male Christian values.
