Boys 2 Men Initiative Dinner and A Movie Day gaining Nationwide Attention!!

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - March 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Boys II Men Initiative - (www.gofundme.com/boysIImen) as part of the Boys II Men outreach, we are proud to announce the overwhelming praise and acclaim The Dinner and A Movie Day has gained Nationwide. What started as a few faithful volunteers with a desire to spend time with children, has spurned into a movement which has School Districts, Churches, and Community leaders alike adopting the ideal as an initiative to inspire young men.  Under the direction of Bishop Kenneth E. Scott at The Temple Gate Church Inc. in Fort Deposit, Alabama, Mr. Lamont Bracy arrived at the ideal by accessing that many of the young men found the streets as an outlet for a lack of resources.  Instantly, the fight was on to provide such a resource that would resonate with the young men while reaching core values.  The ideal was born in the form of a movie to broaden the children social awareness, and dinner to serve as the catalyst to provide a setting for expression. The rest is History; from there the program grew leaps and bounds with Lowndes Board of Education lending its support in supplying resources and manpower which enabled the Initiative to stand on a platform supported by education.  On February 6, 2016, the Boys II Men Initiative and volunteer's put the plan into action and transported 20 young men to neighboring Greenville, Alabama for the first dinner and a Movie.  Since, the phones have been ringing nonstop from both the children and those wanting the logistics to carry out the same. "It's a glorious day when you can show the young youth that there is someone who will take the time to invest in your well-being", say's Chairman Lamont Bracy.

Since 2012, the Boys II Men Initiative has grown to over forty young men from the Lowndes County, Alabama area. The overall objective is clear; To demonstrate values of transitional change from young boys to young men by setting strong male Christian values.  We operate on private funding from citizens and our many volunteers.

As you are well aware, the NEED for strong positive role models vs. the lack thereof, has proven catastrophic. Our theme, "Building Blocks of Hope," is the inspiration as we work to instill hope into the students participating in the program. In a society filled with strife and hardship, we are blessed to have the opportunity to make a difference.
