JIMS Rohini Placed 43rd on Top 50 Indian Institutions List by NIRF

NEW DELHI - April 30, 2016 - PRLog -- The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), a newly launched scheme by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, was released on the 4^th of April, 2016, by Smt. Smriti Irani, the minister of HRD in Vigyan Bhawan. The list ranked institutions in four categories: Management, Engineering, Universities and Pharmacy. More than 3800 institutions and universities participated in this event, and it is on a promising note that JIMS Rohini has been placed on the 43^rd spot in the management category.

A point to be taken into consideration is that JIMS Rohini had applied in Category A, which refers to 'Research & Training', as opposed to Category B, which purely comprises of educational institutes. If the public funded management institutions are to be discounted, then JIMS Rohini actually stands 22^nd on a national level. Another feature of interest is the Public & Academic Perception section, in which JIMS Rohini scored very high. More than 60,000 responses were submitted by the public, and 450 responses were received from experts and senior academicians.

The Jagan Institute of Management Studies, established in 1993 and recognized by various other award committees as well, is naturally honored by this ranking. The director, Dr. J.K. Goyal, expressed satisfaction at this achievement, and credited the ceaseless efforts of the management, the Governing Board and the Academic Advisory Council. He thanked the recruiters and well-wishers, too, and vowed to improve the ranking even further in the future. Finally, he showed his gratitude to Dr. Nassa, the member of secretary of NBA, in bring out these rankings fairly, and within the declared time schedule.
