PRLog -- Entertainment executive, best-selling author and international event producer Germaine Moody united Atlanta's entertainment community on April 29th at Atlantis Restaurant to pay tribute to legendary musician Prince. The Purple Carpet event included purple lighting, purple drinks, dancing to an array of Prince classics as well as three Prince-themed cakes (Little Red Corvett, Prince's guitar, and his "Purple Rain" vest) created by celebrity cake artist Cherie Robinson of Iced Out Cakes. The invite-only gala was attended by music industry veterans, artists, actors, models, film/television executives, music producers, Recording Academy/GRAMMY members, entertainment lawyers, and more. Female recording artist Kim Joyce performed an amazing rendition of "Purple Rain" with her band. Hip Hop/Rock artist Alex Rodriguez delivered an electric performance of "I Would Die 4 U", during which he invited Germaine Moody to sing with him, which can be seen on Youtube. Acclaimed saxophonist Reggie Hines wowed the industry crowd with a beautiful piano and sax version of "The Beautiful Ones".
