Amazon Best Seller, "The C.A.L.L" Officially Launched

WASHINGTON - May 17, 2016 - PRLog -- The wait is finally over for official launch of the Amazon Best Selling book, The C.A.L.L, following its release on Monday, May 9, 2016.

The C.A.L.L. is a collaborative effort between Dr. Towanna Freeman and 17 male co-authors who worked to create the ground-breaking anthology. Each of the individuals who contributed to the book had a story to tell that was relevant to an entire generation of young Black men. The contributors' life stories inspire, motivate and connect with young men to empower, create new opportunities and give them hope.

Discussing the motivation for producing the resource, Freeman said: "My spirit was stirred on the evening of Feb. 26, 2012 as I watched the eleven o'clock news describe the unfolding events that led to the death of Trayvon Martin, a young black man with a life of promise ahead of him.

"That event was the impetus that again demonstrated to me how badly young Black men needed positive role models to uplift, inspire and guide them on their journey to manhood. So I issued a call-to-action to her network of male mentors, motivational speakers, business professionals, coaches and community leaders to share personal stories capturing the rich tapestry of their life lessons, experiences and wisdom. That's how the acronym "C. A. L. L." was initially born, with these four letters representing Character, Accountability, Love and Leadership.

In its February pre-launch, The C.A.L.L soared to the #1 spot in three different categories- Cultural Heritage, Inner Child and Leadership. Now three months later, the book is still listed in the top 10 in the Cultural Heritage category, #13 in the inner child category.

The C.A.L.L. has received a number of celebrity endorsements, including one from NBA Champion and Philanthropist, Derek L. Anderson. He said: "Wow! I am truly inspired by these AMAZING stories!
