GSF Mortgage Establishes First Branch in Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - May 19, 2016 - PRLog -- GSF Mortgage is pleased to announce that it has opened its first branch in Alabama and it will be managed by Kathi "Kit" Mickelson and she brings 23 years of industry experience to TeamGO. She has a background in sales and marketing and became fascinated with the amount of people that were in need of mortgage services outside of what a traditional bank could offer. Upon entering the mortgage industry, she closed 11 loans in her first few months.

Mickelson served the California market for 22 years and recently relocated to Alabama. She loves the small town feel and personal attention that she is able to offer her borrowers. She has a downtown store front office that gives her clients direct access to someone who can sit down and personalize their lending experience with them.

Mickelson is very involved within her community. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce in several cities; St. Clair Country Realtors Association; Talladega County Realtors Association; Rotary Club and several other community-based programs. She works with a lot of real estate agents and For Sale By Owner (FSBO) clients.

As a mortgage loan originator, Mickelson knows that she cannot assume that her borrowers know the mortgage process works; therefore, her primary focus is educating and communicating every phase of the lending process. If a borrower doesn't qualify for a loan today, she will educate them as to which path they can take to get them on the right track to their dream of homeownership. Her slogan for almost 20 years has been "Let Me Walk You Home".
