Local Teens to Participate in Golf Marathon to Benefit Blythedale Children's Hospital

SCARSDALE, N.Y. - May 23, 2016 - PRLog -- On Thursday, May 26 - beginning at 7:00 a.m. - a dedicated group of young golfers - including several former Scarsdale High School players, currently playing in college - will strive to complete at least 100 holes of golf in one day. The golfers have solicited friends, family and colleagues to make a pledge per hole of golf played, as well as additional pledges for pars, birdies and eagles.

The effort is led by Joshua Goldenberg, of Scarsdale. Two years ago, Joshua founded "Birdies for Happiness," a fundraiser coordinated by the Scarsdale High School golf team that raised more than $40,000 for Blythedale. Joshua currently plays golf for University of Pennsylvania.

"We are so grateful to Joshua for all his tireless efforts on behalf of our young patients," said Blythedale President & CEO Larry Levine. "He provides an extraordinary example of the power of philanthropy for his peers. We are very proud and thankful to be the recipient of his generosity."

Joshua will be joined by college students Ethan Bunzel, James Nicholas, Anthony Scarcella, Jonny Emmerman and Christian Cavilere.

The event will be held at Fenway Golf Club, in Scarsdale, N.Y.
