By: The Beehive Each month the series will feature internationally known master musicians that we are lucky enough to have living here in the city of Boston. Whether in between tours, or in town for a break between shows, these musical greats will make their way to The 'Hive for a rare and intimate show. Garzone, an international touring saxophonist, will lead off the series. He is a member of The Fringe, a jazz trio founded 40 years ago that includes legends John Lockwood and Bob Gullotti that performs regularly in the Boston area. He began on the tenor when he was six, played in a family band, and attended music school in Boston. In addition, Garzone has been a frequent guest performer, touring Europe with Jamaaladeen Tacuma and performing with musicians such as Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, Jack DeJohnette, Rachel Z and John Patitucci among others. As guests enjoy this rare performance they can sip on special cocktails featuring the exceptionally smooth Damrak Gin. The expert bar staff will be shaking up the Sparkling Cucumber Lemonade made with Damrak, cucumber, lemon and sparkling wine, Kind of Blue with Damrak, grapefruit, lavender and soda, and a Beehive signature gin cocktail, and Whale of a Thyme made using Damrak, thyme liqueur and Punt y Me, all for $12. For dinner and a show, The Beehive's Executive Chef Gregory Torrech will be serving the full dinner menu with selections such Stuffed Chicken Breast with baked kale and Jerusalem artichokes ($25.00), Lamb Moussaka with eggplant, tomato, feta, potato and spinach ($25) and Vegetarian Couscous with eggplant & chickpea stew and hummus ($23).
