Optimum Beach Volleyball Training Series

LONG BEACH, N.Y. - May 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Professional Beach Volleyball Player and Top Elite Junior Coach, Priscilla Lima, is coming to New York and New Jersey this summer to run a series of clinics for adults and juniors. Lima has 12 years experience on the Pro Tours. She's an AVP alumni, an NVL Muliple Champion, and has a world of experience, including several gold medals, playing in the FIVB for her home country of Brazil.

Lima has 20 years of coaching experience and has run clinics with some of the biggest names in beach volleyball including Misty May Treanor, Sinjin Smith and Randy Stocklos. Her coaching has taken over twenty junior players on to the collegiate level.  This highly sought after coach is known for her unique styel to training, attention to detail, and focus on the mental aspect of the game, all of which have helped many young players, Olympic hopefuls and pros acheive their beach volleyball goals.

The first training series for adults will take place on June 10 in Long Beach, NY from 6-8 pm.  In this two-hour session, players will be doing game-like drills to learn proper technique, footwork, and game strategies.  This training session is open to all players, and is highly recommended to anyone who wants to improve their beach volleyball skills.

Junior athletes will get a chance to train with Priscilla Lima on June 11 in Long Beach, NY.  This will be an all day event, eight hours of training with an elite beach volleyball coach.  Players will be working on both their technical and psychological skills.  This session will include drills to improve ball control, hitting, blocking, defense, setting, serving and serve-receive.  Lima will teach juniors the difference between controllable aspects of the game and the uncontrollable, i.e. sun, wind, heat, cold.  Juniors will learn to develop mental toughness and to make mental adjustments during games.  The clinic fee includes entry into the East End Volleyball Junior Beach Volleyball Tournament on Sunday, June 12.
