The ceremonies will honor the class, 100 percent of whom have earned acceptances to four-year universities and colleges across the country. Members of the graduating class have already garnered $2.4 million in scholarships, with more awards expected to come. "Bosco Tech's faculty is extremely proud of the class of 2016," said President Xavier Jimenez. "The graduates have excelled in their studies and made the most of the school's unique technology focus. This fall, they will be attending high caliber schools like the U.S. Naval Academy, UCLA and USC where most will major in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) related fields." The baccalaureate Mass will be held on the campus mall, with the traditional conferral of diplomas and graduation ceremonies immediately following. Graduating senior Darrian Gardea will give the valedictorian address. The festivities will feature Bosco Tech's traditional alumni reception line, where past graduates welcome each member of the class of 2016 into their ranks. Celebrating its sixtieth year, Bosco Tech is an all-male Catholic high school that combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with a technology-focused education. With a 100-percent college acceptance rate each year, more than 60 percent of Bosco Tech graduates pursue STEM-related majors in their university studies. The innovative curriculum allows students to exceed university admission requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in one of several applied science and engineering fields.
