Floyd's Recreational Vehicles Kicks off the Summer with Event Dedicated to Helping the Community

NORMAN, Okla. - May 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Floyd's Recreational Vehicles will host an event, entitled Campfire Cookout and Concert (CCC) on June 11 at their Norman location, 912 N Adkins Hill Rd. The event will consist of local music, food and time to relax around a campfire. CCC will begin ramping up on the evening of Friday, June 10 and will run all day Saturday. The intent of this year's CCC is to facilitate community engagement and provide necessary food donations for metro-wide schools. Patrons are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items and monetary donations as Floyd's attempts to fill its RVs with donations.

"This years' proceeds will help provide meals and healthy snacks for school children during the summer months, because Floyd's recognizes that ensuring basic needs are met is a foundational piece of quality education," said Robert Floyd, owner of Floyd's Recreational Vehicles. "RVing and combating hunger may seem worlds apart but they are closely tied together. Both are about sharing time around the campfire or at the dinner table."

CCC hopes to engage local outdoor enthusiasts while raising money for a worthy cause. Many members of the Floyd family are educators; therefore, they understand the realities surrounding childhood hunger in the Oklahoma City metro area. This year's CCC is free to the public. Every dollar donated will be matched by the Floyd family and will provide meals and healthy snacks for school children during the summer months. CCC will also provide a unique experience by featuring local music, food and campfire stories.
