Daniel Gale Sotheby's Patricia J. Petersen Named Outstanding CEO

COLD SPRING HARBOR, N.Y. - May 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Patricia J. Petersen, President and CEO of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty, one of the nation's leading realtors, was recently recognized among a select group of business leaders awarded Top CEO of the Year recognition by Long Island Business News, the region's business weekly.  Ms. Petersen was further distinguished among the honorees with the Signature Achievement Award.  Ms. Petersen earned that distinction as a second time honoree for Top CEO, which she previously won in 2013.  This year's Top CEOs include executives across a wide spectrum of public and private businesses, higher education, professional service firms, and not-for-profits.

The execution of Pat Petersen's growth strategy over the past 3 years has earned her widespread admiration in the business community.  Under her leadership, Daniel Gale Sotheby's added 200 sales agents for a total of 800 and six sales offices (27 offices in total).   Daniel Gale Sotheby's is a $2.5 billion plus organization, with 2015 its best year to date.  Early indications suggest that 2016 will see even greater sales volume.

In 2014, Daniel Gale Sotheby's expanded into Queens, opening a sales office in Flushing.  It acquired Taylor Warner Realty, Garden City's oldest independent realty company and Virginia O'Dwyer Real Estate, which had a 40-year history in the Stony Brook/ Three Village area.  In recognition of the international homebuyer, Daniel Gale Sotheby's established an Asia Desk comprised of staff experts and experienced, multi-lingual agents in several sales offices.

In 2015, Daniel Gale Sotheby's acquired Piping Rock Associates in Locust Valley, opened a sales office in Rockville Centre and relocated its Northport office to that village's Main Street.  In March 2016, Daniel Gale Sotheby's opened a second Queens office in Little Neck.

A frequent lecturer and national spokesperson, Pat Petersen serves on the advisory board of Sotheby's International Realty Affiliate network.  Luxury Real Estate named Pat to its prestigious Billionaires Club, has recognized her with its Lifetime Achievement Award and elected her to its Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate Board of Regents.  Pat has been featured in numerous publications including Realtor and LORE.  Enterprising Women, a magazine for women business owners, chose Pat to exemplify the country's top women-owned real estate brokerages with a cover story profile.

Pat is a member of the prestigious "Top 50 Women on Long Island Hall of Fame." Active in many local organizations, Ms. Petersen serves on the board of trustees at Huntington Hospital; the Corporate Advisory Board of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory; and actively supports the Heckscher Museum of Art, Caumsett Foundation, Pink Aid, the St. Johnland Nursing Center and Old Westbury Gardens, among others.  Pat will be honored this fall by Huntington Hospital at its Centennial Gala.
