GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE Brings in Robben Fenderson for Some Killer Sound Design!

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - June 2, 2016 - PRLog -- The much anticipated indie horror/comedy GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE moves one step closer to the festival circuit with Robben Fenderson stepping in to tackle the vital role of sound design.   "Sound is one of the key elements that make a film come alive or die" director Gregory Blair says.  "And since GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE has enough of a body count, we're glad Robben is on board to give the film a healthy pulse."

The son of musicians, Robben had the support to pursue an education and career in music from day one.  But he went beyond playing and writing music, delving into the technical world of sound recording and design, sound effects, editing and more.  One might be tempted to say he's been playing it by ear his entire life.

"I get the most joy out of creating something for other people," Fenderson says. "Especially if they've already created this idea, this world…for me to be able to contribute to that…I feel that that's one of the best things to call 'a job'".
Robben has done sound design for such films as "Stan", "Entanglement" and "Naked Truth" as well as compose music for film and video and handle on-set production sound recording and boom operation.  In fact, that is how Blair met him:  doing sound on the set of GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE.  "Robben was professional and personable-the perfect pairing; so when I learned he also did sound design, I basically handed him the job.  You can't do much better than find people who have the skills and the attitude as well."

GARDEN PARTY MASSACRE tells of a friendly backyard gathering that goes hilariously awry when an unexpected guest arrives.  With a pickaxe.  And an attitude.  It is a PIX/SEE Productions film and is slated for a late 2016 finish date.  It stars Andy Gates ("Grimm"), Nichole Bagby ("My Crazy Roommate"), Lise Hart ("Deadly Revisions"), Gregory Blair ("Love That Girl"), Dawna Lee Heising ("Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance"), Matt Weinglass ("Jimmy Kimmel Live!") and David Leeper.
