Follow on Google News | Mercedes-Benz-Club at Ignition Festival of Motoring, Glasgow, SECC, August 5 -7, 2016Their stand will feature 5 cars selected as the best of their type. The highlight of the stand will be a very special car: An SLR McLaren Silver Arrow with an interesting provenance; formerly owned by David Coulthard during his racing days with Mercedes McLaren. The SLR Grand tourer was developed jointly by Mercedes and McLaren in 2003. The stand will also feature cars spanning the 1960's,70's, 80's,90's and the 2000's. The swinging 60's are represented by a superb Fintail saloon in grey with contrasting red interior and white steering wheel. They have a stunning Mercedes-Benz 230 CE Coupe,1985, from a private collection. The 1990's are represented by an exceptional and very rare W140 420 SEC Coupe, one of the first of it's type to be imported into the United Kingdom. The club stand will be located in the Classic and Vintage Hall where Club Officials will be present to answer questions and deal with membership enquiries. New members signed up at the show will receive a discount on their membership fees and other benefits from the show.
