Ingerman Announces The Groundbreaking Of The Willows At Flemington Junction

FLEMINGTON, N.J. - June 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Mayor Karen Gilbert joined Ingerman to celebrate the groundbreaking of The Willows at Flemington Junction, an 84-unit affordable family rental community located in Raritan Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

The Willows at Flemington Junction will consist of 15 one-bedroom, 48 two-bedroom and 21 three-bedroom rentals located within 8 three-story buildings, as well as a community building. These rentals will include a mix of flat and townhouse style layouts as well as handicapped accessible and adaptable apartments. Five of the apartments will be designated for individuals and families who have previously suffered from homelessness. All of the apartments will have energy efficient appliances and finishes, including washers and dryers, dishwashers, garbage disposals, gas heating and central air.

This development will cater to low-to-moderate income households in Hunterdon County by offering rents at 20-60 percent of the area median household incomes. The community will offer a furnished resident lounge with warming kitchen, fitness center, leasing and maintenance offices, and a social service office. Additionally, outdoor features will include playground and sitting areas, walking path, community garden and off-street parking for residents.

Financing for this $20.1 million project will be provided through a combination of equity from the syndication of Low Income Housing Tax Credits that were awarded from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency and syndicated through The Richman Group, a first mortgage from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Financing Agency, a construction loan from Citibank, and Raritan Township Affordable Housing Trust Funds. Construction is expected to be completed by the summer of 2017.
