Rondo Hattan Classic Horror Award Winners

ALBANY, Ga. - June 6, 2016 - PRLog -- BearManor Media announces their 2016 Rondo Hattan Classic Horror Award Winners.

Honoring the best in classic horror research, creativity, and film preservation, the 14th Annual Rondo Hattan Classic Horror Awards just announced after an online vote by fans and genre professionals worldwide that two BearManor Media authors won top honors:

Gary Don Rhodes was voted Writer of the Year for his research and multiple books on horror actor Bela Lugosi and the launch of horror films in the 1930s. A leading scholar into the origins of the horror film, Rhodes' fact-based approach has exploded myths surrounding some of the genre's most beloved works. His books about Bela Lugosi have kept the complicated legacy of the horror icon alive. Books include Bela Lugosi In Person and No Traveler Returns: The Lost Years of Bela Lugosi. (The Book of the Year Runner Up also went to Rhodes for Tod Browning's Dracula.)

The Book of the Year Honorable Mention award went to Alyse Wax for CURIOUS GOODS: Behind the Scenes of Friday the 13th (The Series).
