By: Voices.com In the spirit of ABC's hit show, Shark Tank, the center invited their students to submit plans for a startup for a chance to win one of three cash awards. FCE was launched in 2011 to address the 70 to 80 percent un-and underemployment rate among Americans who are blind or visually impaired. Through this business education program, Hadley, the largest provider of distance education to people who are blind and visually impaired worldwide, offers tuition-free courses to help prepare students for employment and entrepreneurship. Voices.com is the online voice-over marketplace where business clients can find, hire, and pay voice-over professionals for their respective projects, ranging from national commercials to audiobooks, video games, and e-Learning courses, and everything in between. Owner of Satauna's Voiceovers, based in Clifton Park, NY, Satauna was a finalist, and one of three winners of this inaugural award, claiming a $5000.00 prize out of a total purse of more than $25,000.
