By: Medford Multicare MEDFORD, N.Y. - June 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Residents alongside nurses, housekeepers and various other employees at the Medford Multicare Center dubbed the Bow & Ball Brigade have been hard at work custom making each and every beach ball and awareness bow to be sold for 1 dollar in front of the Medford facility for 49 minutes every hour beginning Friday at 5am. All proceeds will go directly to funds setup to assist the families.
"Every one of us has been moved by this tragedy - and everyone says they want to help, many say, few do! The residents and staff of Medford are doers and we can't think of a better cause to get behind," proclaimed Norman Rausman, Medford's Operator. The residents smartly choose Friday for their fundraiser as many New Yorkers are expected to flock toward area beaches for the weekend. The event will begin at 5am and will run every hour for 49 minutes, all day tomorrow. Residents and staff will take to the street to sell their custom made BOWS and BALLS for a BUCK. Each ball has been outfitted with an inspirational message & each bow carefully crafted by the residents of Medford in hopes that area residents will embrace this opportunity to do their part in assisting those impacted by the tragedy. "We plan on sending the money raised to the murdered victims' families; it's the least we can do," exclaimed one resident who has been leading the Ball & Balloon Brigade. "At the end of the day, Medford Residents and Staff are in a league all their own; while this may seem as a surprise to some, it certainly does not shock me. This is just how we are!" quipped Rausman. Learn more at www.medfordmulticare.org. End
