CGR Releases 2015 NYS Top Employers List; Health Care Dominates

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - June 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Center for Governmental Research (CGR) has released its list of New York State's largest private employers in 2015. Led by Northwell Health (formerly North Shore LIJ Health System), health systems occupy nine of the twenty slots. An additional four places go to financial services firms with a major presence in New York City's powerhouse finance sector. Regionally, Rochester is in second place to New York City with three institutions on the list-the University of Rochester, Wegmans Food Markets and Rochester Regional Health.

CGR compiles the list from a variety of sources as part of a periodic engagement with upstate New York's largest private employer, the University of Rochester, including its Medical Center and many health care affiliates.
