FIA Formula Junior Lurani Trophy - Round 3, Monza

BURTON ON TRENT, U.K. - June 22, 2016 - PRLog -- The FIA Lurani Trophy for Formula Junior cars formed part of the 63rd Coppa Intereuropa meeting at Monza on 18th-19th June. The Denis Welch Motorsport powered Lotus 22 of Manfredo Rossi Di Montelera took 1st in Race One and Second in Race Two. His combined result for the two rounds saw him lose out on 1st place by just 0.078 seconds, one of the closest finishes in Formula Junior history. The engine was freshly rebuilt for the car over the winter and has performed faultlessly during the opening 3 rounds of the season so far. The engine has been key to the performance benefiting from good torque characteristics at Pau and outright power at Monza and Hockenheim.

Car 89, the Lotus 20B of Mark Pangborn also put in a strong performance over the meeting with an combined result of 4th following 7th place in Race 1 and 3rd in Race 2.
