By: FABGA Event started at 7.15 AM on 21st June 2016, despite heavy rains in the morning, organisers could manage to start the event on scheduled time. Well known Yog Sadhak Rinkku Suri from YOGA 101, Versova has led the event, that's been attended by People of all age, profession and children from local neighborhoods. Refreshments post event was cherished by all. Event lasted at about 9.15, while all participants felt happy and glad and nodded their desire to attend in future too. FABGA is an association which was formed by morning walkers group of the Garden under initiative of Popular Film Actor Annu Kapoor, who is also a president of this group, with intention to take over the management and maintenance for walawalkar park, when BMC had sent a notice to take over for maintenance during month of May 2016. Reverse to the assumptions, MCGM has acknowledged Fabga's efforts and initiation and extended commitment to ensure well upkeep of the Garden thru their appointed contractor. Post this success Fabga has initiated tree plantation drive on World Environment Day at Garden. "We all desire to leave behind treasure of intact nature to our children, I am sure none of us will accept even 1% quality deterioration in Fresh Air to Breathe for our next generation, than we must act on to the concerns like rising pollution and global warming and Fabga is our first step in that direction" said Hariom Sharma a Fabga activist while addressing the attendees at the event. "Massive Drought this year is enough to wake us up, Maharashtra Govt, has taken up task to plant Two Crore Trees, to cover up the this nature deficit. MCGM in turn is geared to take forward this drive in City of Mumbai and Fabga commits its all out support for the cause with MCGM." added Hariom Sharma. "Cleanliness contributes to Fresh Air, whenever we talk about Swachh Bharat, we come on road with booms for a day and then forget unfortunately. Real cleanness exist in our habits of managing our daily waste and garbage unless we address that effectively, we will continue to fail in giving a sustainable clean city to live to our next generations. Here cribbing will not work but the action will" added Ajay Bhaskar another senior Fabgaite. "Fabga will take up many more projects in time to come towards "Building Better Environment and Habits for Tomorrow" and to bring people together for this deed, such as Fabga Run, Waste Management and Tree Plantation Drives for Housing Societies, Rainwater Harvesting and Solar Energy Source Set ups. We are currently looking out for more volunteers to connect with core teams to take up these projects and initial response is really overwhelming" "I am very happy with my comrades who conceptualised and executed the initial fabga projects very well, this excites us to take next big ones", said Mr. Annu Kapoor, President of Fabga in a message from abroad, he is currently traveling yet well connected with Fabga projects.
