In addition, it opens at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning and stays open until 7 p.m., adding two more hours of fun to the entire weekend. Located just west of Denver at the beautiful TEV Edelweiss Pavilion, at 17832 Highway 8 in Morrison and nestled in the pristine foothills, this idyllic open space provides the perfect atmosphere for an authentic German festival. Unlike other beer festivals, the Biergarten Festival is produced in the spirit of the traditional Biergarten found primarily in southern Germany since the 19th century. "Our Summer Biergarten Festival brings the Denver Metro area public together with the regional German community to showcase German traditions and culture. Last year about 4,000 visitors attended our fest," notes Natalia Wobst, Executive Director of the GACC-CO. The projected attendance for the 20th Biergarten is between 4,000 and 4,500. Just like in previous years, the festival offers great authentic German food, provided by award-winning Chef Neuhold and his crew from Frederick, Colorado. The official beer purveyor will be Paulaner from Munich, Germany offering four different styles: Paulaner Hefeweizen, Oktoberfest Wiesn, Oktoberfest Märzen and Hacker-Pschorr Dunkel Lager. Entertainment during the Biergarten Festival will include performances by Rick Borger and the Average German Band,Peter Kron, Rhinelanders, Hilltop Harvest Band, the Chalet Dancers and TEV Edelweiss Schuhplattler.
