New York Times Bestselling Author Victoria Alexander Inks Seven Book Deal With HQN Books

TORONTO - July 6, 2016 - PRLog -- HQN Books today announced the signing of New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Victoria Alexander to a seven-figure, seven-book deal.

Alexander will pen seven books-four novels and three novellas-in a new historical series called The Lady Travelers. The series will feature inspired pairings of irresistibly indomitable Victorian heroines and their equally matchless heroes as they discover true love while undertaking unforgettable international adventures and misadventures. The Lady Travelers Guide to Scoundrels and Other Gentlemen, the first title in the series, will be published in Spring 2017.

The deal was negotiated by HQN Books Executive Editor Susan Swinwood and Nancy Yost of the Nancy Yost Literary Agency. Harlequin acquired world English and audio rights as well as foreign rights for Japan and Italy in the deal. Swinwood will edit the books.

Victoria Alexander is the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of more than 35 historical romance novels. She has been nominated for the RT Reviewers' Choice Award four times, winning once. Alexander is also the recipient of a RTCareer Achievement Award.
