LAWRENCE, Mass. - July 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Commonwealth Motors and Charlie Daher visited the Central Fire station in Lawrence, MA to officially donate some much needed equipment. For years the 54 firefighters who work around the clock, 365 days out of the year, had to struggle to locate their safety equipment because of a lack of an adequate storage system. The firehouse struggled with organization, cleanliness and precious time with the homemade wooden storage racks their fellow firemen built years ago but fell short of being efficient and organized.

Chief Brian Moriarty was approached by Charlie Daher at a child safety seat check that was hosted at Commonwealth Chevrolet in May of 2016 and asked if there was any need in the city. Typically, the fire department would ask for tools and safety equipment to help them when they are fighting fires, but Chief Moriarty had his team's morale in mind. He was bothered by the lack of organization and cleanliness in and around the suits, helmets and boots because they were cast across the floor. His request was for a brand new mobile metal storage rack capable of holding each individual firefighter's gear in one small space off the floor and organized so they can get out quick. Charlie Daher, who was born and raised in Lawrence, completely understood the need for positive morale as a successful business owner in Lawrence. Most donors prefer to give something more high profile or "glamorous," but Charlie's trust in Chief Moriarty and the support he showed his team of firemen was more than convincing that this unseen storage rack was a valuable investment in the city's first responders. The storage racks totaled over $16,000 and were installed and erected by the men who will be using them in only a few days, which was a display of their excitement for something so basic as organized storage.

Charlie Daher made the presentation along with his Children Kimberly, Charles and his wife Ana Daher and 4 grandchildren who were treated to sirens and lights by the hero firemen. They were joined by Mayor Daniel Rivera who presented Charlie with an official citation thanking him for the donation. Commonwealth Motors is located in Lawrence at 1 Commonwealth Drive exit 45 on route 495. Shopuslast.com
