Darcy Rose Byrnes-heading to London to attend the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Art!

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - July 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Byrnes tested out of high-school at the age of 15 (halfway through 10th grade), but RADA's strict rules mean that the 17 year old is still 1 year shy of the required age to attend the full course at this time. However, Darcy Rose will attend RADA's demanding Shakespeare Intensive. She has also been offered a university spot at the esteemed Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, but Byrnes has not yet decided if she will be attending.

Darcy Rose Byrnes grew up on TV. She started in commercials (and theatre) from the age of 3 and was cast as Abby Carlton on CBS's the Young and the Restless at the age of 5. She also "crossed over" to the Bold and the Beautiful as the same character. She played Abby for 5 years. Byrnes' most recent time in front of the camera was as Lynnette (Felicity Huffman)'s daughter Penny Scavo in Desperate Housewives, but the young veteran has also been keeping busy in front of the mic. Byrnes is the speaking and singing voice of Princess Amber in Disney Jr.'s Sofia the First. The busy teen will also continue writing her own music, and with over 100 completed songs is eyeing the start of her own record label. Byrnes assures everyone that although she's heading off to RADA, she has no intention of slowing down or taking a break from her current and upcoming projects.
