ED Thoroughbred Williams Defeats Christon Edwards By Unanimous Decision

DETROIT - July 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Ed Thoroughbred Williams improved to 12-1-1 (4 KOs) with a dominant performance over Christon Edwards. Williams won by unanimous decision on Saturday July 23, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Adding another victory, Williams staked his indisputable claim to division supremacy and set himself up for much bigger business in boxing.

EDWARD WILLIAMS vs CHRISTON EDWARDS

Round 1: Williams landing from range, using his height and reach advantages. Edwards looking to counter more later in the round, getting a feel for Williams, who at 32 is nine years older than Edwards. Good opening round for Williams, though, definitely. Williams 10-9

Round 2: Williams staying in control. Edwards really having a hard time getting close to him here. Williams 10-9, 20-18

Round 3: Williams now starting to lead the action more often. Edwards just can't find his way in, really. But late he's starting to get wild, which is something, anyway. Williams 10-9, 30-27

Round 4: More of the same. Edwards is working, just not effectively. Williams with more jabbing might stop him, actually, set up a bigger shot. Williams 10-9, 40-36

Round 5: Really more of the same. Williams able to smother any time Edwards does get inside. Williams 10-9, 50-45

Round 6: Williams is in cruise control this round, Edwards trying really hard to do something special. He's landing more but it's going to be too little, too late. Edwards 10-9, Williams 59-55


About Ed Thoroughbred Williams:

Edward Williams Jr. was born on April 18,1984 in Detroit Michigan. Williams started training and boxing at the age of 17 mentored by his late uncle former WBC Champion Duane Thomas.

Ed began his career as an amateur fighter with the legendary Kronk Boxing Club. He won the U.S. Open for the state of Michigan title twice and received two National Golden Glove Championships. Williams became a professional boxer in 2008. He has trained with some of the best in boxing his record of (12-1-1, 4 KO's) In the Jr WelterWeight and WelterWeight division has placed him in the ring along side Mickey Bey, Baha Mamadjnov and more. Ed was a feature fighter for the Brooklyn Brawl Feburary 6, 2016 where he claimed victory as the UBF Welterweight Regional Champion.

In 2010 he received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Eastern University. Williams Is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Ed "Thoroughbred" Williams is considered to be one of the best pound for pound fighters of this time.
