Digital London designer launches unique premium shoe collection exclusively on Kickstarter

London Design House Alice X starts its first foray into the highly competitive world of women's shoes, with a unique and innovative digital-first approach. Using the world's largest crowd funding site, Kickstarter, Alice X is launching a highly original collection of premium shoes, with an exclusive design unique to Alice X, not available anywhere else in the world.

We've spent that time developing relationships with the finest leather suppliers and production houses in the world, perfecting our shoes and their unique hand crafted design. At present we are a small team so we have chosen to use Kickstarter as an innovative way to introduce our designs to the world"

The collection hits five key style trends, combining patchwork; 80's and 90's rave; strong graphics; pastels; and fluorescents. Each shoe not only looks good but feels good, hand crafted with luxurious a butter soft leather that hugs your feet. Each shoe is fully lined with premium leather, with classic woven jute trims and a waterproof rubber grip sole. The leather is ethically sourced and is also crack and fade resistant.  They are available in all women's sizes, with men's and children's sizes coming soon.

"We wanted to translate our ideas and influences into a stylish, luxury shoe, something different that would really stand out", said Alice Rose. "There isn't a design like this anywhere in the world and that's because the five paneled, individually sectioned design takes far more time and effort to produce than any other shoe (our sample collection needed 20 different coloured hides alone!).  We've taken the inspiration for our designs from many different places in the world, from Gaudi architecture in Barcelona to the amazing pastels of Miami Beach, to colourful 70's New York patchwork leather jackets and the wild nightlife of Ibiza, with each design named after a different stylish location to give each its own identity."
